Watch this moving documentary video created for Philadelphia’s Village Improvement Association about their long female-empowered history, shot and directed by Evan Cohen of TOPAZ.

 

Evan Cohen of TOPAZ was approached by the Village Improvement Association to document their long, rich, female-empowered history that began in the suburbs of Philadelphia in 1895.

Evan was honored to collaborate on such a meaningful project and to explore the history of the oldest all-women run hospital in the country, created and organized before women even had the right to vote.
